How can I order a new ID card?

Who is this for?

If you're enrolled in a Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan or Blue Care Network Medicare plan, here's how to get a replacement ID card.

If your Blue Cross ID card is lost or damaged, you don't need to worry. It's easy to get a replacement ID card. And you're still covered, even when you're waiting for your new card to come in the mail.

Just log in to your Blue Cross account and follow the steps we outlined. Don't have an account with us yet? It only takes a few minutes to register.

  1. After logging in, select "My ID Cards" in the right column.

  2. Select "Order New Card(s)."

You can also call the customer service number on your explanation of benefits statement. If you don't have one, you can find the right phone number for your plan on our contact us page.

We can only replace your Blue Cross Blue Shield of Michigan or Blue Care Network ID card. If you lost your red, white and blue Medicare card, you’ll need to contact the U.S. Social Security Administration:

  • Visit the Social Security website.
  • Call Social Security 24 hours, seven days a week at 1-800-772-1213 to reach the automated system. If you'd like to speak to a person, you can call between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m. Monday through Friday. TTY users call 1-800-325-0778, 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
